Angela Ponte 2023

 

Angela Ponte joined the Plymouth Rotary Club in 1992, transferring to the Quincy Rotary Club in 1995 where she has served on the Board of Directors, Vice-President, President-Elect and Club President 2001-2002. 

She served the district as a Chair of the Membership Committee and then as Assistant Governor 2003-2006. She then served as District Secretary for 7 years and has been a Facilitator at Northeast PETS training. She also traveled extensively around the District with the Club Visioning Facilitation Team 2008-2015 under the leadership of Past District Governor Terri Fitch of the Rotary Club of Newport. 

In 2015, she became involved with the new International Rotary Action Group for Alzheimer’s and Dementia and currently serves as the Group Secretary.

Locally in Quincy, MA, she is a member of the Board of Directors for Maria Droste Counseling Services and WORK, Inc-FM&M. Angela is a Lector at St. Ann’s church in Quincy and she and her husband Barry are members of Temple B’Nai Shalom of Braintree.

Born in Cambridge, MA, Angela grew up in Canton, MA. Angela is married to Barry Rabinovitz and they work together as Real Estate Brokers in their family business, Classic Homes Real Estate located in Quincy, MA. The company is active in the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and a donor to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund of Massachusetts.

Angela and Barry both graduated from UMass Boston and then graduated from Boston College with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and worked in the mental health field for many years. 

Angela and Barry have attended numerous District Conferences and Rotary International Conventions. Both love to travel, fish, and boat with Barry as a world wide travelled scuba diver and Angela loving to ski and the history of Quincy’s Presidents and First Ladies.
