Steve Albright
District 7950
Steve has been a member of the Yarmouth, MA Rotary Club since 2008. He has served as a Director, Club President, Trustee and Vice President and President of the Yarmouth Rotary Foundation. In 2010 he was named the Yarmouth Rotarian of the Year for his service to the club and the Rotary Foundation. Steve is currently a Paul Harris Fellow plus 3.
On the District level, he has served on the District Budget Committee and the Youth Exchange Committee currently serving as the District Chairman and the District Inbound Chairman. He and his wife Jill have been a Youth Exchange host family for the past six years. In addition, to being selected as the 2019 -2020 District Governor, he currently serves as the Assistant Governor for Area 1 in District 7950.
Steve graduated from the Dept. of the Army Machinist Apprentice Program and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He was employed by the Dept. of the Army at Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, NY for 22 years. In 2000, he moved to Washington DC to work for the Smithsonian Institute and retired from Federal Service after 26 years When Jill and Steve relocated to West Yarmouth, he began studies at the GIA Institute earning his Graduate Gemologist Degree. He currently owns and operates Adrene Jewelers in South Yarmouth, MA.
Steve has always been active in his community serving as an officer in the Federal Managers Association, as director of the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and director of the Yarmouth Food Pantry, treasurer of the Barnstable County League of Sportsmen, an officer of Colonie Elks for seven years and lector in his church for the past 20 years. In addition, he volunteers to cook diners at Champ House, a local facility for the homeless.
Steve and Jill have been married for 23 years, and have 5 children and are expecting their 11th grandchild.
