David Sampson 2022

Dave has been a Rotarian for 47 years, a member of the Rotary Club of Bourne-Sandwich since 1976, and President for three terms. He was a District 7950 Assistant Governor for four years.

 

He was Rotary Leadership Institute Chair for District 7950, Regional Vice Chair for Districts 7910, 7950, and 7890, and Vice Chair of Rotary Leadership Institute of Northeast America. He has contributed as a facilitator for both RLI and PETS for multiple years.

 

He has extensive community service experience including Board of Trustees of Falmouth Hospital, Cape Cod Healthcare, Plymouth Savings Bank, Eastern Bank, Kelley Foundation, Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and several other Cape Cod based organizations.

 

Dave earned a BS in Education degree at Fitchburg State College, a Master of Arts degree at the University of Connecticut, and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study at Boston University.  He was principal and then Superintendent of the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical school for 25 years, and now serves as an elected School Committee member for the school. He also served as President of the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators.

 

He and his Partner, Elizabeth (Beth) Griffin, also a Rotarian and Past President, are both Major Donors to the Rotary Foundation, members of the Paul Harris Society and Bequest Society.
