Lori Karas is an award-winning Operations, Sales and Customer Experience Leader with expertise within a variety of industries with a goal of enabling leaders and teams to exceed expectations.  Currently, a Contract Project Manager Lead with the State of Massachusetts.  There, she is guiding the leadership through staffing and organizational optimization planning for a sustained customer excellence experience.

Passionate about giving back to the community - A Rotarian since 2015 - Lori is currently a member of the Peabody Rotary Club, an Assistant Governor and District Secretary.  She has served on several district committees and written scripting or hosted Fireside Chats for a variety of events.  Lori is Past President of the Boston #7 Club - 2017-2019.  She is a Bequest Society Member and Paul Harris Fellow.

Today along with Rotary, Lori is a Board Member of the American Red Cross since 2012, and Member of the Disaster Action Team since 2005.  Currently, Lori also serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, Philanthropy Committee and Heroes Committee.  Formerly, she has served The Greater Boston Chamber’s Small Business Advisory and Financial Services Boards, Boston by Foot Board and taught financial literacy at St Francis House – a day shelter in Boston.  

Lori holds a BSBA from Suffolk University with a major in Marketing and minor in Business Law.  

As a legacy Rotarian, it’s an honor to become District Governor of D7930 for the 2023-2024 Rotary year.
